Designing for Print can be thought of as classical Graphic Design. It used to be a much more physical and tactile enterprise than it is today, even though the end result is physical. Even in terms of print, more is being digitized all the time.
Whether Spot or Process, one, two, four or more colors, varnishes, multiple paper types and textures, the end result is largely physical, tactile. It is often primarily a two dimensional design, but there are notable exceptions, such as package design and layered dye-cut pages.
